Life Is A Journey

Life wasn’t meant to be this way. We wake up every morning and try to get through it just to go to bed and wake up again the next day. Is that what we’re thinking? Is that what we want? I’m not sure, actually I’m sure it’s not what we want at all. Yet it’s what we do. We are here to figure things out and try to attempt new things meeting new people. That’s what life is about I think? I guess? Either way, here we are. Now, if we wanted to do something a little different, we could. Life could be much different than it currently is. But, we have to accept that it could be different. Either way? It won’t be useful to any of us until we decide that is what we want. But what do we want for real now? I mean, we could guess all day long what we want, but we cannot fully express ourselves for some reason. Does it matter? I’m not sure. I’d rather not think about everything which could go wrong with this plan, but well you have to take into account all the different angles, don’t you? Some woul...

Smallville: Lana and Chloe

There are two characters in Smallville that center around Clark’s life. Those two people are Lana and Chloe. Now don’t get me wrong, I get it. He’s a guy, they’re women so there has to be some drama here and there. But during the first few seaons, of what I’ve seen so far, there is a ton of drama between these three people. I blame it on High School. It’s High School drama for sure. There’s no other way to explain it.

They’re kids. Where kids are drama is sure to follow. I suppose that’s okay to an extent, but it doesn’t have to be sprinkled about every chance you get. I like the show, just the drama between these two can be a bit much at times.

They both have feelings for Clark, yet Clark only really likes Lana. Naturally we know he won’t end up with either of them in the long run. He ends up with Lois Lane during his time at the Daily Planet. (Thank goodness for small favors!)

Maybe they could have done something different with the women in the show? I don’t know what they could have done differently though. Clark has enough on his plate, being a teenager seems to be quite a load as well.

I get it, I was a teenager once too. The thoughts and feelings that come along with it all can be a bit much to handle. I can’t imagine being an alien from a different world pushed into the mix as well.

I like the characters, like I said it’s good for Clark to have friends. He’s trying to live life as a normal teenager, no matter how alien he is.

Some chances with the characters need to be taken. Sometimes you think Lana or Chloe are just going to go for it, and they do to a point. But Clark always manages to push them back away. The guy is giving them mixed signals all over the place. So that becomes awkward at times too. I mean yeah people can’t find out about his secret. That’s the whole point of him having a secret. No one can know, especially these two girls.

Didn't Sleep

What's the point of sleep anymore if I can't sleep? I don't think I slept any good last night. I was awake at 3 am wondering to myself, what on earth am I doing awake? Yeah, that happened. It doesn't make any sense. Fortunately, it's the weekend. So, I can catch up on sleep tonight. I don't have to be anywhere tomorrow, so it's a good opportunity to actually sleep for once. Whatever the case, I hope I'll be able to fall asleep and stay asleep. We will see what happens.

Temptation Bible vs Book of Mormon

In the Bible in 1 Corinthians 10:13 we find: There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able ; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it. But what might seem as a contradiction is found in Alma 13:28 But that ye would humble yourselves before the Lord, and call on his holy name, and watch and pray continually, that ye may not be tempted above that which ye can bear , and thus be led by the Holy Spirit, becoming humble, meek, submissive, patient, full of love and all long-suffering; So, which is it? Either God tempts you to a point and stops, or you have to actively pray not to be tempted beyond that no return point. Which is it?

An Opposition In All Things

Long has been the story told about how there must be an opposition in all things. From the pre-existence there was Satan, Lucifer the Son of the Morning. In the beginning we were with God in his presence. We learned all we could while there. Until the moment we couldn’t progress any more, we were unable to become like God. So, we were given the opportunity to come to Earth to gain a body. A Savior would be provided to atone for our sins enabling us to come back to the presence of God. The idea that an opposition must be in all things comes from 2nd Nephi: For it must needs be, that there is an opposition in all things. If not so, my firstborn in the wilderness, righteousness could not be brought to pass, neither wickedness, neither holiness nor misery, neither good nor bad. Wherefore, all things must needs be a compound in one; wherefore, if it should be one body it must needs remain as dead, having no life neither death, nor corruption nor incorruption, happiness nor misery, neither...
