What If?

One would think this life would be easier than it currently is. I mean come on wouldn’t ou think that? Of course you would. So why can’t we each believe in it I for one would want to believe in it. It would give me something to do with my day at least. But well there’s something else on my mind. We have to be able to understand what it is exactly, if we don’t? Then that’s something quite different now isn’t it? Yeah that’s what I was thinking.

Psychosis What Is It?

Being in psychosis means experiencing a severe disruption in how your brain processes reality. It is a state of “losing touch” with the world around you, characterized primarily by hallucinations (seeing, hearing, or feeling things that aren’t there) and delusions (holding false, unshakeable beliefs despite contrary evidence). It is not an illness itself, but rather a set of symptoms often tied to conditions like schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, or severe depression, or triggered by extreme stress, trauma, or substance use. Key experiences and signs include: Hallucinations: Experiencing sensations that other people cannot share, such as hearing voices or seeing shadows. Delusions: Believing things that are untrue, like the feeling that you are being plotted against. Disorganized Thinking: Using incoherent language, jumping rapidly between unrelated topics, or having trouble concentrating. Changes in Behavior: Withdrawing from friends and family, neglecting self-care, or having ...

Psychosis? Really?

Psychosis is quite real. Having been in and out of psychosis a lot of times, you never really get use to it. Sometimes it sneaks up on you without warning. It can be a wakeup call at times for sure. But I have to take whatever comes my way I guess. The voices get annoying at times for sure. When you live in the trenches of your own mind, you can feel quite trapped. Being trapped in your own mind can be terrifying, in its own right. But just because we feel trapped doesn’t mean we have to live there. Life is full of surprises, you mind doesn’t really care how you feel. It’s going to do whatever it wants to do. Sometimes that means we have to walk through Hell in order to get where we belong. It can be quite a learning curve is all. If I could put a stop to it all, I would. I don’t even know where to begin with it all. Life can be a bit confusing at times. What am I supposed to do with that confusion? The truth to it all will be my own downfall. No matter what happens in this life, i...

More Psychosis

So…last night, when I was in bed. I kept hearing a voice. I can’t remember what it was saying, but I do remember it getting madder as I was yelling at it to stop. I just wanted the damn voice to stop, and I couldn’t make it stop! Oh man that was annoying, so very annoying that it wouldn’t stop and I couldn’t make it stop. Life feels so difficult at times with these voices doing whatever the hell they want to do in my head. I can’t seem to shake them. Maybe I need to be put on a different medication? I’m not sure. I just want to feel normal, whatever normal is. I’m not even sure I know what normal is now! Talk about a nightmare. A living nightmare that I cannot control in any way, shape, or form. I want it to end somehow. I don’t even know how to make that possible.

Feeling Not Great

Feeling miserable isn’t the best feeling in the world. It comes and goes though. Upset stomachs can go away asap! But what are you supposed to do about it? The answer remains unclear to such a question. And if I don’t know the answer about my own body, no one else will either. Maybe life really is a simulation. If that’s the case then there really isn’t much depth to this life to begin with. The real life is out there somewhere. How that works? I do not know. I only know what my gut tells me. I’m asleep somewhere waiting to be woken up for the first time. Now the problem with this thought is people don’t want to see the truth about life. They will ignore reality to the best of their ability. It’s the nature of the beast and the way of life, however abnormal that can be. Yet here we are in a simulation, everybody looking for the best to come along. There’s no telling what will become of this life. No way of knowing at all. Psychosis is a very real thing. What if I’m actually sane an...

Psychosis And Trauma

I learned that one can get psychosis from trauma. Say a nasty divorce that ended badly. (Do divorces ever end goodly? Don’t answer that.) I had a mental break in 2020, the begging of it after I went through a bad divorce. Well I wonder if I ended up going through that break earlier when the divorce was going on in 2019. Yeah that’s possible. Divorce was a very traumatic experience to say the least. Luckily I had someone with me who could see what was going on and helped me get the help I sorely needed. Good ol’ Google AI says this: Trauma is a well-documented risk factor and trigger for psychosis, including brief psychotic disorder or post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) with psychotic features. Traumatic events can alter the brain’s stress response, causing an overload that significantly increases the likelihood of developing distressing hallucinations or delusions. If that’s the case? Then yeah, I had that happen to me. The only problem is that the psychosis didn’t go away. No ...

Psychosis and Life

Fri May 22 09:09:34 AM MDT 2026 Psychosis Is Real Hearing things, seeing things, they’re all real to me. I don’t understand why they happen. But they tend to happen at the worst times in life. I’ve had my fair share of things I’ve both seen and heard in my lifetime. There doesn’t appear to be a rhyme or reason for them to occur. They just do. It’s a funny thing to think about, the things the voices say. Let’s face it, sometimes they’re down right mean to me. They want me to kill myself. I don’t have a say in what they tell me though. They are annoying at best. There are currently three voices that bother me. One is aggressive, one is kind, and the other one eggs the other two on at times. They can all get annoying when they talk all at once. I don’t know how to stop them though. I wish there was a way to make them stop. Why do I hear voices? Why do they want me dead so much? I don’t know the answer to this. No therapist, psychologist, or doctor has been able to tell me why this i...

Psychosis

Ah, Psychosis . Such an interesting word. Google a definition, and you will find out a lot about it. Or I could give you the definition here without warning. Psychosis is a mental health condition characterized by a loss of contact with reality, often involving hallucinations (seeing/hearing things not there) and delusions (fixed, false beliefs). It is not a specific disease but a set of symptoms, commonly involving confused thinking, speech, and behavior. Common causes include schizophrenia , bipolar disorder , severe stress, and substance misuse. Yeah, that ought to do it. Now, I can hear you asking, why am I talking about this again ? Well because it’s an important topic. It needs to be talked about and not just swept under the rug as it were. A lot of people tend to sweep mental illness under the rug as it were. It can be quite intense. When you aren’t quite sure what is real anymore and everything feels like an invasion of your privacy. Like, what is real these days? I’m n...

Depression With Psychosis

Having been diagnosed with Major Depressive Disorder (MDD) with psychotic features 1 is a pain in the ass. I don’t know how else to live with it, but the fact that I have to simply deal with it. When the voices tell you to do something you have to listen to them. Feeling emotionally frustrated at times isn’t a good thing. I don’t know how to deal or handle any of it. So I try my best to ignore it. Yeah, try that for a while and see how it goes. I’ll wait no worries. I wish I knew how best to live with these constant thoughts and feelings. But I’m not sure if I know exactly what to do about all of these things that happen in my head. I mean the voices are one thing, but the feelings are something else. Let’s face it, the voices tell me to kill myself. I’ve yet to listen to them or obey them, but I fear that someday I will give in and end up doing exactly what they want me to do. It would be nice not to have to deal with these demons in my life. But I don’t see a way of living life w...
