Life Has A Way

Life always has a way of doing whatever it needs to do. There’s nothing wrong with that thought process. It comes and goes without a second thought. We can’t easily figure out why life does this to us, we have to understand something at some point, but if we don’t? Well, no harm no foul. It’s life and we have to continue going forward to see everything that is out there. There’s nothing we can do about it. Life will move foreward without the ability for us to do anything but wonder what this life will eventually be like in the far distant future. Oh what a joy that could bring about. If life has a way, we will be able to get from point a to point b in no time at all. It feels like a circle at times. A = B = C, isn’t that what the crazy future guy in Star Trek: Voyager tried to explain? Yeah, something like that. It’s quite an interesting thought process to be sure. It’s life though, nothing can be done about it. So let life be what it wants to be, there’s nothing wrong with that tho...

YouTube.... Means Voice?

Okay... so I've spent some time on YouTube... wow um... can't even think of where to begin. Stupid comes to mind. However some of it is hilarious... but most of it is just plain dumb. Oh yes, good times.... of course it gives people a voice in one form or another... it can make you either look really smart, in the case... wtf are you posting on YouTube... Or it can make you look even worse... in the which yep stupid. So so stupid...

DVR

I know I've said this in the past... but I'm saying it again. I LOVE the DVR. It's so sexy... okay sexy isn't the correct term, but you get my drift. lol Love coming home to a disk full of tv to watch. Currently on my playlist: Law and order SVU Enterprise ColdCase JAG Robot Chicken Cow and Chicken and the list goes on... can't remember it all at the moment. Anyways... good times, good shows... and I don't miss a thing anymore. Yay!!!

I'm a PC... Part 2

So... the other day , I commented about how Microsoft is doing the whole "I'm a PC" thing... showing that various types of people use PCs... well, yesterday it was made known that Microsoft used Macs to make their commercial. I've read that it doesn't go against their whole ad campaign... but it's just funny.

Walking in the Cold

It's cold outside... tends to happen when it um gets cold... or was it when the weather changes and it gets Fall/Winterish outside. Yep... of course this also means aching joints... not the good kinds of joints mind you. Is there such a thing as a good kind of joint? Nah didn't think so. Anywho... now I hurt and am in pain... oh well it happens and I'm not gonna let it get the better of me... go away hurting joints! Go away!!!

I'm a PC... fights back.

Saw a commercial for the whole "I'm a PC" thingamajigger fighting back... and yes it's Microsoft doing this. Interesting how it said how "I'm a PC" turned into a stereotype.... and then it went from there... showing various different types of people who are not the 'typical' of the Apple commercials. Too funny... I should find a link on YouTube for this. Or meh, perhaps not. But yeah... it was interesting to say the least. I for one don't take sides in the Microsoft/Apple war... Linux on the other hand... yes it just rocks. LOL

Dreams

Has some strange dreams last night... only problem is I can't remember what they were about. Oh well... I know they were strange, I mean why else would I wake up at 3:30 in the morning? ack Have I ever said how much I enjoy and love sleep? I don't think I have... it's an essential thing in one's life. Necessary part that is just plain cool and fun. Dreaming is a source of entertainment... well if I could remember what happened. Yeah that would work.

A Forgotten Poem

Found the following poem I had written... haven't a clue when. Your End Has Come Pop! The sound of a gun going off. The impace of a bullet hits with a force like the wind being knocked out of you. The smell of smoke encompasses the very breath around you. The tears that run down your face are salty to the taste. The darkness of night cloaks the eye, Allowing the murderer to escape into the shadows. You listen, there are sirens, but the are too far away. As death encloses around you, it begins to strip you of the very senses you enjoy. Your life is now a motion picture running through your mind. As death continues to enclose around you, You feel the shocking, shivering, sickening coldness that is its companion. The senses that earlier screamed at you to keep fighting, become more dense. Your breathing becomes labored and very shallow. As the final moments of death totally encapsulate you, your heart finally stops beating. The pain is finally over, the sirens have arrived, but alas ...

MySQL and Apache

Wow... so I was having issues installing WordPress on my local testing machine. Ran across an error saying that MySQL wasn't setup correctly and that WordPress needed it. Took me a while but I did eventually find a solution on a message board. Here they be: These were the steps which I followed to install Wordpress without it resulting in that nasty error message. Install Apache Install My-SQL. Note: in Wordpress' installation instructions this step comes after PHP installation. However, I read somewhere someone suggesting to install PHP after My-SQL. Don't know if this was the determining factor, but it was the way I took. Install PHP. Here is were I think you'll make it or break it. When installing PHP, be sure to point to Apache's conf directory when asked where its configuration directory resides, don't just point to Apache's install directory, when asked which items to install, navigate down into Extensions and select MySQL and MySQLi. Can't Sleep

Who knew... that's right... I can't sleep at the moment. I have a few thing set to record on the DVR... but that's about it. Interesting how much the DVR has been used. We really don't watch tv, unless we've recored it... very interesting indeed. We catch the news once in a while... but not often enough to say that we follow it. Found a few stories I started writing the other day... didn't know they were still around. I think I'll have to type them up and add them to my story website... hmmm speaking of which I need to get up and running... Still looking for a theme on that though. So we'll just have to see what happens.

Went to Arby's for breakfast... in the drive thru the gal goes "Order when you're ready." So we order... then we hear "Why?" Jane and I looked at each other and went... did she just ask "why?" oh yeah she did. lol Part of me wanted to say "Um because I'm hungry!" Yeah... well a second later, the gal goes "Order when you're ready." She must have been talking to someone else, it was amusing... it just was amusing.

Today is Friday!! WOOHOO!!!!! I don't know what else to say about today, except the weekend is around the corner... and that's a plus. You know what I mean? Oh yeah I know you do! :-D I LOVE weekends! They are so nice and fluffy... well not fluffy exactly... but they are way nice and happy. Spam...

so annoying... well not just spam, but sexually explicit spam. I just deleted a bunch of spam that was just icky... I mean who talks like that? Honestly!!! Ack Yuck... Ick! You would think they would just realize that people are annoyed by spam and just leave it well enough alone. But of course they are in the spam business and are in it to annoy people and make their lives living hell... oh yeah. Yuck!

Have I mentioned how much I enjoy 8 Simple Rules? Yeah, it's a good show. :-D Isn't that neat! I know, you were just waiting for me to say that I enjoyed the show. Oh yeah that's it for sure. lol It's a shame that the main dude guy had to die... oh well, it happens huh... yeah. Anyways... Ii think I'm going to see if I can buy the series... well that is if they have it. They should have it... you would think they'd sell it. We'll see though.

Green Walking Guy... Wave Of Evil

Er... so I'm walking to work this morning, and lo and behold... the damn stoplight told me to walk on a red... a red! What in the hell?! There are a few things I've figured out since I began walking to work. 1. Don't run through the intersection, even though someone has honked their damn horn at you... they can wait 2. Don't cross when that happy little green arrow guy is going and there's a red light... unless you want to get hit! 3. If you have a green, it's okay to cross even if the walking guy isn't there... 4. Don't flip off drivers... they don't appreciate it, and well they're in a car and you're not. Anywho... wow... yeah I was amazed that green walking guy would trick me like that! How dare he! But nope, I kept my cool and I walked when the light turned green. lol It's very simple... I cannot trust the Green Walking Guy again, for he was a wave of evil.

Mmmmm Steak

Love Steak! Love it! So yummy and tastey... barely cooked, and way oh so good... um, yeah so that's all I have to say at the moment. It's yummy and good and um yeah. I believe I've forgotten what I was writing about... or what my next train of thought was. Did I mention there were potatoes with the steak? That was yummy as well... makes one kind of sleepy though.................... wait, I'm awake... don't leave. I'm here. er... nevermind, that nap sounds wonderful right about now... Mmmm nap time.

Sammy... petco

Such a silly puppy! Went to Petco last night, took Sammy. While walking past the birdy birds, he um tried to jump out of the cart and grab them. Okay, so he DID jump out of the cart and landed on the ground. :-| Fully pup got right back up and tried jumping to the birds. Methinks we won't be getting any birds anytime soon... yeah that wouldn't be a good thing.

McDonalds vs. Burger King

So... last night we went to Burger King before heading off to do some grocery shopping. While we were there, we saw two guys park in McDonald's parking lot, and cross the street so the could go to the BK. It was amusing... not really funny, but just amusing. I wonder how many people do that, park at another place to eat just to cross the street to eat someplace else. I understand if you were going to Dr. Johns and doing that... no on second thought, no I wouldn't understand. LOL

Google Chrome... uh problem

Yeah... so there I was visiting one of my favorite websites. I go to cick on an rss feed, and bam Google Chrome doesn't have rss support. :-O You know, the thing that took Microsoft a good long while to pick up on? Anywho... so yeah, I'm thinking I'm going to have to just do without for a bit. We'll have to just see what happens with it all. Oh well, it's all good.... maybe. We'll just have to see if they do add support for that. However, I wonder if it's part of their plan to do that... they do have Google Reader afterall. Oh well, we'll just see what happens.

I want to make up words... that would be neat. However... if I were to do that they would just be made up. I'd have to enter them into Wikipedia or something, but even then...
