Never Go Back

Never Go Back by Kyle Eggleston Sometimes, you gotta accept the fact that certain things will never go back to how they used to be. That’s an interesting thought. You can never go back in time to fix or change anything. It’s just not possible. We might want to go back in time and change anything, everything, but we can’t. Simple? Well not simple to hear, but very easy to say. So what do we do about all of this? Nothing. We do nothing. We can do nothing. You’d like to do something, but no that’s really not going to do any good in this life. So we wait. We wait for something to come along and hopefully we are able to anticipate the future. The future is all we can hope for.

Simulated Life

Life isn’t real, it’s an illusion created by someone who wants to study us all. It is a hologram of sorts, nothing is real. Think of The Matrix, they were onto something. I’m not saying it’s exactly how they interpreted life, but I have a feeling they aren’t that far off.

If you were to wake up one day, and realize that all of your life was a falsehood, that none of it was real. What would you do?

Simulation theory is the hypothesis that our entire universe is an artificial, hyper-realistic computer program created by a vastly superior civilization. If advanced beings have the technology to simulate conscious minds, those simulations would vastly outnumber the original “base reality,” making it statistically probable that we are living in one.

Makes life more interesting if you think about it that way now doesn’t it? Yeah, that’s what I thought. I’d like to hope that life isn’t that way at all, but whose to say how it’s meant to be? Whoever the grand architect is of it all is the one in charge. They are the ones who know what this life is really made of and we simply do not have a clue. I wish there was someway to get over that possibility, but what is one supposed to do about it? Not much I’m afraid.

If we are indeed in a simulation, and all of this is an illusion, what can we do about it? We have to be able to break free from it in one form or another, don’t we? I’m not sure how that’s supposed to work though. It would be nice to be able to understand what is going on most of the time, but if we can’t even do that? There doesn’t appear to be a use to it all.

Maybe I should put on a tinfoil hat now? I’m kidding of course. Those don’t do anything to protect you from aliens, or anything else. Oh aliens, now there’s a topic we could get into. What if they’re behind it all? They’ve been coming to our planet for decades researching us, it’s only a fluke that they crashed in Roswell New Mexico after all. If they had been more careful they wouldn’t have crashed, ever think of that? But I feel like I’m getting off topic.

Someone is behind all of this simulation. There’s no doubt to that. If that someone has a master plan? I want to know everything about it. There doesn’t appear to be a simple way of discovering if that’s the case though. Someone out there has to make it all make some kind of sense to me. I’m racking my brain trying to understand it all!

Maybe I’m not meant to understand any of it, ever think of that? No, I didn’t think so. If I had an inkling of whatever was to come in this life? I’m sure I wouldn’t just sit on it. I would broadcast it out to the world. Everyone deserves to know the truth no matter how insignificant it is!

Didn't Sleep

What's the point of sleep anymore if I can't sleep? I don't think I slept any good last night. I was awake at 3 am wondering to myself, what on earth am I doing awake? Yeah, that happened. It doesn't make any sense. Fortunately, it's the weekend. So, I can catch up on sleep tonight. I don't have to be anywhere tomorrow, so it's a good opportunity to actually sleep for once. Whatever the case, I hope I'll be able to fall asleep and stay asleep. We will see what happens.

Temptation Bible vs Book of Mormon

In the Bible in 1 Corinthians 10:13 we find: There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able ; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it. But what might seem as a contradiction is found in Alma 13:28 But that ye would humble yourselves before the Lord, and call on his holy name, and watch and pray continually, that ye may not be tempted above that which ye can bear , and thus be led by the Holy Spirit, becoming humble, meek, submissive, patient, full of love and all long-suffering; So, which is it? Either God tempts you to a point and stops, or you have to actively pray not to be tempted beyond that no return point. Which is it?

An Opposition In All Things

Long has been the story told about how there must be an opposition in all things. From the pre-existence there was Satan, Lucifer the Son of the Morning. In the beginning we were with God in his presence. We learned all we could while there. Until the moment we couldn’t progress any more, we were unable to become like God. So, we were given the opportunity to come to Earth to gain a body. A Savior would be provided to atone for our sins enabling us to come back to the presence of God. The idea that an opposition must be in all things comes from 2nd Nephi: For it must needs be, that there is an opposition in all things. If not so, my firstborn in the wilderness, righteousness could not be brought to pass, neither wickedness, neither holiness nor misery, neither good nor bad. Wherefore, all things must needs be a compound in one; wherefore, if it should be one body it must needs remain as dead, having no life neither death, nor corruption nor incorruption, happiness nor misery, neither...
