In that hour Jesus rejoiced in spirit, and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them unto babes: even so, Father; for so it seemed good in thy sight.
All things are delivered to me of my Father: and no man knoweth who the Son is, but the Father; and who the Father is, but the Son, and he to whom the Son will reveal him.
And he turned him unto his disciples, and said privately, Blessed are the eyes which see the things that ye see:
For I tell you, that many prophets and kings have desired to see those things which ye see, and have not seen them; and to hear those things which ye hear, and have not heard them.1
Who did Jesus turn to his disciples? Some think it was His Father. That God was in the same room as Jesus and Jesus showed His Father unto them. It would make sense as it states that Jesus reveals the Father to us. It’s an interesting thought process to be sure.
God and Jesus appeared to Joseph Smith and were together. So why not have the same thing happen in the Bible? It would follow the course of how God is revealed to His people.
Of course this is just an experiment in thought. It doesn’t mean that’s the case of what happened. But it could have happened. We don’t know for sure as we weren’t there. The only ones who can tell you that are those that were present in that room at the time Jesus was speaking.
