Ack... the weekend is almost here. The bad part is the almost part. I mean, here we are... it's way close to the weekend, and yet it's not. The dog's asleep at the moment. Such a good puppy... good and sleepy. Rough day he had... crazy rough day. Oh well, it's all good. 'Cause he's a good puppy. Yes, even still a puppy... even though he's 4 years old. Mythbusters is a good show. Love it so much... the two guys are just nuts... and they make money doing it all. Hmmm, interesting job those two have. I think this is another useless post about nothing, random crap... and junk. heh

Watched Love Actually tonight... it was interesting to say the least. Can't really think of anything to say aobut it at the moment... just interesting.

So, I've been trying to figure out the best way to log stuff in my Java programs. I've heard all there is to hear about Log4j, which I might add I keep mispelling... so it can't have that great of a title right? I've also heared a lot about the built in logging utilities in Java that have been around since version 1.4. For a little bit, I was attempting to create my own logging platform... for now I've tabled the sucker. I might get back to it one of these days, but for now... yeah one of the two options above will work out nicely. Anywho... my next attempt is to figure out how to transform the outputted log file into either a database... or an xml file... or something. Not sure why I want to do this... probably a proof of concept type of thing. We'll see...

Watched Garfield last night... hadn't seen that movie before... I know I know, I've been living under a rock or something. Anywho... it was an okay show. Didn't like the part where Odie got dognapped... poor puppy. But all in all it was an alright show. Wouldn't own it... definately a renter.

So there we are... meh bleh and blah... what does that have to do with anything? Not sure... doe sit matter? Nope. So why am I writing this? Don't have a clue. I wish there was more time in a week... life is so freakin' busy these days. Moving has got me worried somewhat. But what else is new right? I wish I had more time in the evenings... but it feels like I work, get home and before I know it it's time for bed. Not much of anything to do anything really. The weekends are about the same. They just go by too quickly.k I'm sure there's a way around it.... but haven't a clue. We'll just see what happens. Oh well... life continues to move on, and all that junk. Thank goodness for the DVR, without that I don't think we'd see any of our favorite sows. lol Had a crazy dream the other night... don't think I want to talk about it though. Just weird, nothing of great importance. Dreaming can be fun... at times. Yep, fun times indeed. Later.

Okay... so setting the clock back an hour is good and all... if you don't have a clock that automatically sets the time for you. lol Yep, last night, I changed the time on the alarm clock. Well, the darn clock switched itself another hour... so when the wifey woke up this morning to go to work... um yeah, an hour late... oops. Good thing her work was understanding.... but yikes, no fun. Hopefully I'll remember this the next time clocks need to be changed. Yep that would be a good thing.

So... I had this thing I wrote a few months back in Java. I added logging on it, something very basic nothing fancy or cool... well, it did something unexpected... I wanted the end result, but haven't a freakin' clue how on earth it did that... I'm off to the store... I'll have to write more about this later... so confused and yet so happy at the same time! Later!!

Went to Hogle Zoo today with some family that was visiting from out of town. It was a good time. There was some kind of Halloween thing going on the day we went, that was classic... so crowded. lol Took a while to find parking, and we noticed that idiots were parking in the bike lane... oh yeah they got tickets. Classic.

So, they're making a Friday the 13th remake??? Set to premiere Feburary 13, 2009. (Makes sense that being a Friday itself)... I'm not sure if I'd enjoy a remake of the film... not sure at all. Don't get me wrong, LOVED the first however movies there were... loved them to death. But a remake?!? Nope, just not sure about that. I know one thing for sure, I'll probably be seeing it alone. But that's all good... hmmm I'll have to give this one some thought.

It has felt like a rather long day... don't know why... it just has. Wow that was some crazy dots. Lots of dots.... yay dots... Where was I? Oh yes, talking about my long day... rather uneventful though. Mostly doing laundry, watching tv... Invasion of the Body Snatchers is on... kinda interesting. Of course I've not watched it much... it just started. Lots of things to do before 11... will I have time? Of course I will! Ah life... so good at times, so very very good. Started a new book today... I know what people are thinking, am I ever going to finish it? Heh... who knows. I did get to page 10 though... so that should make up for something right? Sure it does... uh huh.

Dang... no wonder it's cold and I'm FREEZING! It snowed outside! Yucky yucky yuck yuck! Oh yeah, we could do away with the snow down here... leave it in the mountains where skiers can enjoy it right? Right! Yucky snow... just go away!

Yay... Love General Conference. It's like having church at home... or well something like that. heh I rather enjoy it. Love listening to a Prophet of God speak and guide. The music is also good... but yeah the talks are the best.

If you don't try... how will you know the outcome? That is the thought for today... 

Okay... so I've spent some time on YouTube... wow um... can't even think of where to begin. Stupid comes to mind. However some of it is hilarious... but most of it is just plain dumb. Oh yes, good times.... of course it gives people a voice in one form or another... it can make you either look really smart, in the case... wtf are you posting on YouTube... Or it can make you look even worse... in the which yep stupid. So so stupid...

I know I've said this in the past... but I'm saying it again. I LOVE the DVR. It's so sexy... okay sexy isn't the correct term, but you get my drift. lol Love coming home to a disk full of tv to watch. Currently on my playlist: Law and order SVU Enterprise ColdCase JAG Robot Chicken Cow and Chicken and the list goes on... can't remember it all at the moment. Anyways... good times, good shows... and I don't miss a thing anymore. Yay!!!

So... the other day , I commented about how Microsoft is doing the whole "I'm a PC" thing... showing that various types of people use PCs... well, yesterday it was made known that Microsoft used Macs to make their commercial. I've read that it doesn't go against their whole ad campaign... but it's just funny.

It's cold outside... tends to happen when it um gets cold... or was it when the weather changes and it gets Fall/Winterish outside. Yep... of course this also means aching joints... not the good kinds of joints mind you. Is there such a thing as a good kind of joint? Nah didn't think so. Anywho... now I hurt and am in pain... oh well it happens and I'm not gonna let it get the better of me... go away hurting joints! Go away!!!

Saw a commercial for the whole "I'm a PC" thingamajigger fighting back... and yes it's Microsoft doing this. Interesting how it said how "I'm a PC" turned into a stereotype.... and then it went from there... showing various different types of people who are not the 'typical' of the Apple commercials. Too funny... I should find a link on YouTube for this. Or meh, perhaps not. But yeah... it was interesting to say the least. I for one don't take sides in the Microsoft/Apple war... Linux on the other hand... yes it just rocks. LOL

Watching ColdCase... interesting show... there's a real psycho on there this time... wow... love tv... really do love tv.

There we go... I screamed! Can't believe I did that!!! ACK! There went about an hour worth of work down the darn tubes... so bad... not good at all. ack yucky yucky yuck yuck... wrong version... should have known things were going too smoothly!!!

Has some strange dreams last night... only problem is I can't remember what they were about. Oh well... I know they were strange, I mean why else would I wake up at 3:30 in the morning? ack Have I ever said how much I enjoy and love sleep? I don't think I have... it's an essential thing in one's life. Necessary part that is just plain cool and fun. Dreaming is a source of entertainment... well if I could remember what happened. Yeah that would work.

So... Google had a wee little error on their website the other night when I opened up my browser... so sad: The error has seem to have been corrected... but well you know me, always pointing out fun flaws and the like. yay error!

Wow... so I was having issues installing WordPress on my local testing machine. Ran across an error saying that MySQL wasn't setup correctly and that WordPress needed it. Took me a while but I did eventually find a solution on a message board. Here they be: These were the steps which I followed to install Wordpress without it resulting in that nasty error message. Install Apache Install My-SQL. Note: in Wordpress' installation instructions this step comes after PHP installation. However, I read somewhere someone suggesting to install PHP after My-SQL. Don't know if this was the determining factor, but it was the way I took. Install PHP. Here is were I think you'll make it or break it. When installing PHP, be sure to point to Apache's conf directory when asked where its configuration directory resides, don't just point to Apache's install directory, when asked which items to install, navigate down into Extensions and select MySQL and MySQLi. Who knew... that's right... I can't sleep at the moment. I have a few thing set to record on the DVR... but that's about it. Interesting how much the DVR has been used. We really don't watch tv, unless we've recored it... very interesting indeed. We catch the news once in a while... but not often enough to say that we follow it. Found a few stories I started writing the other day... didn't know they were still around. I think I'll have to type them up and add them to my story website... hmmm speaking of which I need to get up and running... Still looking for a theme on that though. So we'll just have to see what happens.

Went to Arby's for breakfast... in the drive thru the gal goes "Order when you're ready." So we order... then we hear "Why?" Jane and I looked at each other and went... did she just ask "why?" oh yeah she did. lol Part of me wanted to say "Um because I'm hungry!" Yeah... well a second later, the gal goes "Order when you're ready." She must have been talking to someone else, it was amusing... it just was amusing.

Love a good game of 21. Went in with 60 came out with 335... Yep, not too bad if I do say so myself. lol Good times were had to be for sure.

Today is Friday!! WOOHOO!!!!! I don't know what else to say about today, except the weekend is around the corner... and that's a plus. You know what I mean? Oh yeah I know you do! :-D I LOVE weekends! They are so nice and fluffy... well not fluffy exactly... but they are way nice and happy. Unless you're at a funeral or something, but that's another story that has nothing to do with Friday, which is today. :-D :-D :-D Um... yeah... I've run out of stuff to say... later!

so annoying... well not just spam, but sexually explicit spam. I just deleted a bunch of spam that was just icky... I mean who talks like that? Honestly!!! Ack Yuck... Ick! You would think they would just realize that people are annoyed by spam and just leave it well enough alone. But of course they are in the spam business and are in it to annoy people and make their lives living hell... oh yeah. Yuck!

Have I mentioned how much I enjoy 8 Simple Rules? Yeah, it's a good show. :-D Isn't that neat! I know, you were just waiting for me to say that I enjoyed the show. Oh yeah that's it for sure. lol It's a shame that the main dude guy had to die... oh well, it happens huh... yeah. Anyways... Ii think I'm going to see if I can buy the series... well that is if they have it. They should have it... you would think they'd sell it. We'll see though.

Er... so I'm walking to work this morning, and lo and behold... the damn stoplight told me to walk on a red... a red! What in the hell?! There are a few things I've figured out since I began walking to work. 1. Don't run through the intersection, even though someone has honked their damn horn at you... they can wait 2. Don't cross when that happy little green arrow guy is going and there's a red light... unless you want to get hit! 3. If you have a green, it's okay to cross even if the walking guy isn't there... 4. Don't flip off drivers... they don't appreciate it, and well they're in a car and you're not. Anywho... wow... yeah I was amazed that green walking guy would trick me like that! How dare he! But nope, I kept my cool and I walked when the light turned green. lol It's very simple... I cannot trust the Green Walking Guy again, for he was a wave of evil.

Love Steak! Love it! So yummy and tastey... barely cooked, and way oh so good... um, yeah so that's all I have to say at the moment. It's yummy and good and um yeah. I believe I've forgotten what I was writing about... or what my next train of thought was. Did I mention there were potatoes with the steak? That was yummy as well... makes one kind of sleepy though.................... wait, I'm awake... don't leave. I'm here. er... nevermind, that nap sounds wonderful right about now... Mmmm nap time.

Such a silly puppy! Went to Petco last night, took Sammy. While walking past the birdy birds, he um tried to jump out of the cart and grab them. Okay, so he DID jump out of the cart and landed on the ground. :-| Fully pup got right back up and tried jumping to the birds. Methinks we won't be getting any birds anytime soon... yeah that wouldn't be a good thing.

Wow... what an eventful night at Wal-Mart. So, we're in the parking lot. As we're walking into the store we hear a guy say to... someone, a kid perhaps a wife... maybe a girlsfriend... anywho, he goes "If you drop that, I'll rip your f'n head off." Oh yeah... crazy and scary.

So... last night we went to Burger King before heading off to do some grocery shopping. While we were there, we saw two guys park in McDonald's parking lot, and cross the street so the could go to the BK. It was amusing... not really funny, but just amusing. I wonder how many people do that, park at another place to eat just to cross the street to eat someplace else. I understand if you were going to Dr. Johns and doing that... no on second thought, no I wouldn't understand. LOL

Yeah... so there I was visiting one of my favorite websites. I go to cick on an rss feed, and bam Google Chrome doesn't have rss support. :-O You know, the thing that took Microsoft a good long while to pick up on? Anywho... so yeah, I'm thinking I'm going to have to just do without for a bit. We'll have to just see what happens with it all. Oh well, it's all good.... maybe. We'll just have to see if they do add support for that. However, I wonder if it's part of their plan to do that... they do have Google Reader afterall. Oh well, we'll just see what happens.
