Time Travel

Frank Looking around, I don’t recognize where I am. The last thing I remember is going to bed in my home. Now I’m laying in an open field in my pjs. Sitting up, I see the field is filled with snow. It is indeed cold out and I’m freezing. I stand up and look to the sky. “Why won’t you leave me alone?!” I shout to the sky. I’m mad at whoever is doing this to me. Be it God or one of his angels, I do not know. There has to be a reason for it all. I don’t know what that reason is. What I do know is I’m cold and wet from the snow, best find someplace to dry off. I pick a direction and walk for a while. Eventually I come across a cabin. It’s a standard log cabin with four sides and a roof. Nothing out of the ordinary. I rap on the door with my fist. There’s no answer. Trying the doorknob I find it unlocked, so I enter. There’s a fireplace and a small bed in the corner. I start a fire. It heats the place quite nicely. Star Trek

So I bought Star Trek from Wal-Mart the other day. Downloaded the video thru iTunes from the second dvd. Makes it easier to watch on my computer... don't have to take the dvd with me anytime I want to watch a the movie when I'm out and about.. well with my laptop. heh I think I'll load it on my iPod as well.

Anywho, I've watched it twice now since grabbing it off the shelf. Such a freakin' good movie! I LOVE it!

Before this movie came to theaters, I made sure not to read anything regarding it online. I'm usually eager to read about a new movie coming out etc. Not on this one, I didn't want to endanger anything by learning stuff before watching it for the first time. Didn't want to have ideas about the movie before going into it. I was wise in doing so.

By watching it fresh, I was able to just sit back and enjoy it. Such a good freakin' movie.

Chris Pine does a wonderful job as Kirk... hell they all do great jobs at becoming the characters that we know and love. Loved how Bruce Greenwood played Captain Pike. He's a favorite actor.

Didn't Sleep

 What's the point of sleep anymore if I can't sleep? I don't think I slept any good last night. I was awake at 3 am wondering to myself, what on earth am I doing awake? Yeah, that happened. It doesn't make any sense. Fortunately, it's the weekend. So, I can catch up on sleep tonight. I don't have to be anywhere tomorrow, so it's a good opportunity to actually sleep for once. Whatever the case, I hope I'll be able to fall asleep and stay asleep. We will see what happens.

Temptation Bible vs Book of Mormon

In the Bible in 1 Corinthians 10:13 we find: There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able ; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it. But what might seem as a contradiction is found in Alma 13:28 But that ye would humble yourselves before the Lord, and call on his holy name, and watch and pray continually, that ye may not be tempted above that which ye can bear , and thus be led by the Holy Spirit, becoming humble, meek, submissive, patient, full of love and all long-suffering; So, which is it? Either God tempts you to a point and stops, or you have to actively pray not to be tempted beyond that no return point. Which is it?

An Opposition In All Things

Long has been the story told about how there must be an opposition in all things. From the pre-existence there was Satan, Lucifer the Son of the Morning. In the beginning we were with God in his presence. We learned all we could while there. Until the moment we couldn’t progress any more, we were unable to become like God. So, we were given the opportunity to come to Earth to gain a body. A Savior would be provided to atone for our sins enabling us to come back to the presence of God. The idea that an opposition must be in all things comes from 2nd Nephi: For it must needs be, that there is an opposition in all things.
